A weekend at New Jersey was a fun and well-worth missing another convention. The reason of this trip was to attend Kcon New York for my sister to see Teen Top. The road trip began at 7AM and we stopped for lunch at Cheesecake Factory. It was delicious, I had a four cheese pasta and for dessert a black-out cake (chocolate cake). This was actually the first time I ate at the Cheesecake Factory and it was nice first experience. We also stopped at Barnes and Noble. We were able to pick up our tickets early. My sister was lucky to get herself a ticket to the handshake event of Teen Top given by a kind soul. After picking up tickets we drove to the pre-party event for Kcon which was a movie screening and raffles. We arrived at the home we were staying at by 12AM.
KCON EVENT DAY
The morning of Kcon we all woke at 9AM. We got ready and made a stop at the mall. We went to Target to pick up some stuff I wanted to stock up on, such as frames and clothes. We also stopped by Hot Topics, Claire's, and Starbucks. We left the mall late 10AM and headed to the venue at Newark's Prudential Centre. We walked around for a bit before my sister and her friend had to go to the Teen Top handshake event. While they did that, I had lunch at Mercato Tomato pie. While I had pasta and a pizza, I was watching the baseball game of Blue Jays vs. New York. Once my sister was done with her handshake, she and her friend met up with me and ate a bit. We still had 3 hours to kill, we headed to the car and napped for a bit.
At 6PM we headed to line up and got into the venue. We originally had seats at the highest level, but it was too high and we were getting vertigo for the height. We therefore were able to get to the lower section. The concert was amazing! Vixx performed first, and surprisingly I liked their songs it had great beats and the choreography was so pretty giving a Michael Jackson type of vibe. AOA (Ace of Angel) was after and I wasn't much into the whole bubble-poppy/overly cutesy songs but it was cute. Teen Top was next and I took so many pictures and videos for my sister. I was screaming and dancing so much through their set, they basically played their new song and songs they performed during their last concert in New York. The last to perform was SNSD (Girl's Generation), the whole stadium was crazy! Everyone was dancing throughout their whole sets. It was everyone was singing and dancing with the girls and it was very much a party. In all, I started with very low expectations for Kcon but really it was a fun experience.
After the concert, we headed to New York City to have dinner at Shake Shack and walk around Time Square before leaving. We arrived at our temporary home at 2AM and most of us only slept at 4AM.

LEAVING THE U.S.A
It was a hard morning to wake from yesterday. I awoke at 9AM and took a shower and had some breakfast. I was able to to surf the web and catch up on everything online. We went back to the mall one last time before leaving to do some last minute shopping and a Starbucks run, then it was off Montreal on our 6 hour long drive. It was a very fun trip and happy with what I was able to achieve throughout the trip.
What to find out what I bought during my trip? Get excited for Friday's post!
