There are times where the universe just throws you a negative news or a situation that could not be helped. I received news that I did not want to hear and it just threw off my day. It's in these types of days that I find ways to turn a bad day into a better day. There are 5 things I do to make myself feel better and try to lift my mood.
1. Retail Therapy
What girl doesn't do retail therapy when they are having a bad day, I am no exception. Retail therapy without having to purchase anything is just fine as well. Personally I love window shopping when I'm having a bad day and it really does lift my mood.
2. Comfort Food
Comfort food is a way to make me feel better. From sweets or salty treats to chocolate. Munching on my choice of comfort food is definitely something I like doing while doing something else like the next point.
3. Crafting or Drawing
I'm an artist but even if you are not an artist, doing some arts and craft is a great way to get your mind off the negativity. Doing a DIY, colouring, drawing, etc. really the things you can do to just take your mind off whatever made your day bad will definitely lift your mood I guaranty it!
4. Take a walk
Take a walk, get out of the house, have a change of scenery. When you are having a not so great day, changing your scenery for a bit if a great way to just take a step back from what is going around you. Bring your music and just get away from the world for a few minutes.
5. Pamper Time
Pamper yourself! Put on Netflix, run a bath, put on a mask and just relax. Having some needed "me" time is a wonderful way to lift your mood. I swear when I'm not feeling my best, a warm bath is what I enjoy the most. I feel so much better after I have pampered myself and trust me you will too.
