Thanksgiving marks a times of thankfulness and gratitude but it also marks the beginning of holiday shopping with Black Friday weekend and CyberMonday. In Montreal, there isn't much Black Friday sales but nonetheless there are good deals in certain shops. I decided to skip the Friday crowds and go shopping on Sunday, combined my sister and I did some damage.
At Omer De Serre, I wanted to start a little DIY project and so bought yarn, and a crochet needle, I have a few DIYs I have planned and I can't wait to try out a new hobby. At Bath and Body Works I took advantage of their 50% all 3-wick candles. So I got another candle for my bedroom, one for my sister and one for my mom. I have Mahogany Balsam, I got my sister Sparkling Icicles and I got mom Alpine Cheer. At Forever21, there wasn't really anything eye catching but I did find this very comfy and fluffy sweater. It's a black sweater with a faux-fur lining. I have a feeling I will be getting a lot of use with this sweater when it gets much colder. Now that it's starting to get colder here in Montreal, I have finally taken my knit wear out from storage. I have been loving wearing my beanies and scarves with the cold weather. I have been enjoying styling my outfits around my knit wear and turning my outfits into more late fall outfits. Having to bring out my beanies and scarves really means the very fast approaching winter season... Although I have yet to break out my gloves but I have a feeling they will be coming out soon.
Summer is coming to an end and autumn is just around the corner. That means cooler weather, lots of layering and being extra cozy! Fashion and beauty wise, autumn is definitely my favourite season because of all the layering and comfy clothes. So grab your Pumpkin Spice Latte and let me show you my autumn essential. JUMPERS (SWEATERS)
Autumn is what I like to call my sweater weather season! I pull out all my adorable and fun jumpers/sweaters and pair them with comfy bottoms to really cute skirts. You can never go wrong with cute jumpers or sweaters, for you are both comfy and cute all without trying too hard. TIGHTS Summer may be over but don't store away those skirts and dresses just yet! Just wear tights and your adorable summer outfits are still of use. Have a plain outfit? Put on fun tights to spice your simple outfit. TRENCH COAT Autumn is also the season of chilly afternoons and showers. You can definitely never go wrong with a trench coat for theses types of days. A trench coat is such a versatile piece to have in a wardrobe and definitely a must for autumn on those colder days. BOOTIES Ankle booties are my choice of footwear during autumn for they are cute, keep your feet warm and depending on the style can spice up an outfit. I love to wear my Forever21 perforated booties because they are so comfortable to walk with and give extra height, and for a 4’ft 11”inch girl extra height is always wanted. TRAVEL MUGS Back when I was still in school during the colder seasons I would bring my travel mug and filling it with either coffee, hot cocoa or tea to warm me up while waiting for the bus and just to start my mornings right. My travel mug always goes with me when it’s a cold morning and never fails to make me happy and warm. Once my warm drink is done I will fill it with water, saves me . From bringing a water bottle with me. My favourite travel mugs are my Kate Spade or my Betsy Johnson tumbler. Ever time I am in the states I take advantage of the very inexpensive prices of items I would see in Canada. There are many places I go to when I am in the United States because the prices are lower or I don't have the store in Canada. My first stop was Barnes and Noble, and got more Vinyl Funko Pop figurines for my collection. Hot Topic was the same deal, I went to buy more Funko Pop figurines. I was so happy to find all the figures I couldn't find in Canada. The one I'm most happy for getting is my Arrow figure. I've been hunting all these figures for so long, ever since their release, and I can never find them anywhere. I always seem to have good luck in the United States and it does help that it is much cheaper to buy them in the U.S. than in Canada. At Target, I only needed to stock up on frames for photo-ops from Comic-con. I also bought myself some cute earrings The Disney Store in Time Square was my next shopping list. I unfortunately do not have a Disney store in my area, so getting Tsum Tsums is very hard to do. So Time Square Disney seems to be the perfect place to buy little Tsum Tsums. Especially when it has been tradition that I buy a plush every time I'm in Time Square. These are just the ones I bought but my sister has six Tsum Tsums with her. She owns a large Stitch, small white rabbit, small dumbo, small chip, small piglet, and small Donald duck.
